T451 for Young Adults
Theatre 451 is founded on the philosophy that nurturing the development of work, mentor-ship and support of future young theatre makers is an essential element of the local theatrical ecology.
We work in a collaborative, nurturing, trusting environment, as our performance standards and backstage ethos both reflect. Formed in 2013, we produce theatre that makes you think, preferring works presented in small spaces providing an intimate relationship between the audience and the actors.
T451 for Young Adults extends our collaborative and supportive beliefs along with the creation of new work within the wider community in which we live.
Lisa and Tref’s practice of support and partnership for the wider community, specifically emerging artists within that community is really rare to find. Their generosity expertise is an asset to the community and those who get to work with them.Caitlin Lavery, Beers & Trees
Our programs are open to young adults who have something to say and want to make work that’s relevant to them and showcases their voices.
Our first young adult production Beers and Trees by Allee Richards, was developed with fourteen young theatre makers between 18 – 25 and was presented as two short seasons at The Hut, Hurstbridge and La Mama, Explorations.
